A Founding Principal of McCombs Risk Advisors(MRA) and W Capital Partners, Trey began his insurance career shortly after graduating from Baylor University in 1996. After 7 years as a partner of a very successful Life Insurance Planning firm, Watson, Mazur, Bennett & Straus, where he focused on the ultra-high net worth clientele and their financial, estate and retirement planning needs, Trey then co-founded W Capital Partners, LLC. W Capital is a structured financial products firm that focuses on educating clients and investors on the concept of Life Insurance as an Asset Class and the development of mortality-based financial products. W Capital has been very successful at structuring, designing and managing insurance programs and secondary market life insurance portfolios for investment banks, hedge funds, private equity funds and other institutional and individual capital sources. Trey and W Capital Partners continued to build their partnerships and family of businesses to include becoming a part of McCombs Partners by founding MRA. Trey has a long history of educating his clients and prospects to the investment and capital opportunities available in the insurance industry and he continues to be a leading figure with his breadth of experience, knowledge and exposure to the industry and his relationships. In addition to many insurance related opportunities and partnerships, Trey and W Capital have co-founded multiple other companies and ventures outside of the insurance paradigm. Trey lives in Austin with his wife and three children.
